HODGES, JAMES A., 78, of Dunnellon, died Sunday (Oct. 24, 1999). Born in Statham, Ga., he came here 28 years ago from College Park, Ga. He was a retired air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Agency and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge 136 F&AM, both in Dunnellon.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Shephard; two sons, James A. Jr., Fayetteville, Ga., and Kenneth A., Dunnellon; three daughters, Jean Hart, Anaheim, Calif., Marion I. Lucas, East Point, Ga., Sallyann Wornick, Washington, D.C.; a brother, Donald, Statham, Ga.; two sisters, Mattie Wingo, Statham, and Betty Nora Brooks, Ocala; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
