Was Stock Raiser-Farmer In Farr West Since 1875

Jacob Thomas died at 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening at the family residence at Farr West following an illness of five weeks. He was born in Nauvoo, Ill., on July 27, 1845, a son of Charles C. and Elizabeth Carter Thomas. He was married in Salt Lake on January 21, 1873, and in 1875 moved to Farr West where he had since made his home. Mr. Thomas was a stock raiser and farmer. He werved as the president of the Y.M.M. I.A. of Farr West for 14 years and was a member of the bishopric from 1891 to 1905. He was a high priest of the church at the time of his death.
Surviving are his widow and the following children; J. W. Thomas, Menan, Idaho; Mrs. Anne Rawson, Ogden; A. L. Thomas, Lorenzo, Idaho; G. F. Thomas, Plain City; L. J. Thomas, Fresno, Cal.; J. E. Thomas, Farr West; F. W. Thomas, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs M. L. Mofitt, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. E. M. Webster, Ogden; E. J. Thomas, North Ogden: 34 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. S. E, Beach, Menan, Idaho and a brother, George A. Thomas of Salt Lake, also survive.
Services will be held Sunday at 3 o'clock in Farr West meeting house with Bishop Moroni Chugg presiding. The body may be viewed at the family home Saturday afternoon and evening and also on Sunday until time of services. Flowers may be left at Lindquist's on Sunday until 12 o'clock
