Born October 4, 1947 in Walterboro, SC she was the daughter of the late Luther Frederick Stanley and Ethel Lee Drawdy Stanley. She was a Seamstress and a member of the Hampton 1st Christian Church. She was the wife of Mr. Paul Leighton Hiers.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: one daughter Tanya Long Firster and husband Kevin of Varnville; three step-children: Paul Hiers, Jr., and James H. Hiers both of Estill, SC, and Mark A. Hiers of Hampton; and three grandchildren: Edna Amileigh Pulaski, Amber Elizabeth Pulaski, and Emily Marilyn Firster.
Funeral services will be held November 2, 2011 at 11 A.M. in the Hampton 1st Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Claude Hydrick and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sandy Run Cemetery.
