Mr. J. H. Mauk, 68, prominent member of the Bettsville Evangelical Church, died suddenly in her home at 7:30 p.m., Friday of a heart attack. She had been suffering from angina pectoris the past few days, but had thought it was a severe cold.

Mrs. Mauk had served as Sunday School teacher of the Evangelical church for many years. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the residence and at 3 p.m. from the church. The Rev. B. L. Lee, former pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. W. E. Myers.

Mrs. Mauk was born in Sandusky County, October 20, 1868, a daughter of John and Mary Ann Kisaberth. She married J. H. Mauk in Tiffin on August 11, 1887. Mr. and Mrs. Mauk had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this summer.

Surviving besides the husband are three children, Mrs. W. C. Graham, Tiffin; Mrs. S. W. Paul, Gibsonburg and Clarence H. Mauk of Bettsville; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
