Buried in Congregation Tifereth Zion Knesseth section of the Cemetery, my Grandfather proudly served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Howard F. Schwartz American Legion Post 408 in the Ironbound section of Newark N.J. and he also worked for Sherwin Williams Paints on Lister Ave. in Newark for many years. He immigrated to the U.S. around 1920 from Israel.
