SOUTH BEND - The Rev. Harold D. Grim, 91, passed away early on Friday, October 28, in the Milton Home, South Bend. Harold was born on April 8, 1920, in McKeesport, PA, to William and Sylvia (Gilbert) Grim. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. On April 12, 1946, in McKeesport, PA, he married the former Arthurine Frederickson, who passed away on August 26, 2006. Surviving are a daughter, Joy (Ken) Swindler of South Bend; four grandchildren, Bethany (Thad) Murillo of The Bronx, NY, Brent Swindler of Denver, CO, Kirsten (Jon) Balon of Canton, MI, and Joshua Swindler of South Bend; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Murillo. Harold worked as a Tool and Die Maker for various manufacturers before becoming a Minister. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during WW II. He also attended Trinity Evangelist Free Church. Rev. Grim served and pastored in several churches in Linesville and Smethport, PA, Weirton and Wheeling, WV, and Flushing, Kinsman and the North Mar Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Warren, OH. A private family viewing will take place in Indiana. Harold will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Vienna, OH. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN, has been entrusted with the final arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association , Memorial & Tributes Lockbox, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
