Wilbur served as a Corporal, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on February 19, 1943 in Miami Beach, Florida. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Machinists apprentice and also as Married.

He was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded a Purple Heart.

B-29 Superfortress #42-93832, 25 miles
southwest of Clovis Army Airfield,
New Mexico.

Son of Nellie Miller. Husband of Irene E.

Served with the 234th Combat Crew Training Squadron.
