MRS. W. JONES DIES IN WEST

Many relatives and friends in this vicinity were shocked and grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. I. W. Jones wh ich occurred at the home of her daughter Mrs. F.L. DuVall at Little Bear, Wyoming, last Thursday, Sept. 6 following a stroke of paralysis which she suffered the Sunday previous. Although she had not been in the best of health, her death was unlooked for and quite sudden. The family have the sincere sympathy of a host of friends. Obituary

Mrs. Arabelle Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Main was born.October 14, 1861, in Appanoose County, Iowa near the old Salem Church, West of Moravia. She was brought up on the farm and taught to do all kinds of work that belonged to one who grew to womanhood in the environment of farm life. She was industrious and willing to do her work well, that which was assigned to her as being her own task and duty. Sometimes she would even go beyond her strength in keeping up with what she thought was her duty and obligation to others. Her play day was spent as any other of her kind in the farming community where she lived.
When only a child she became a Christian and united with the Salem United Brethren Church and held her membership for a number of years. But when it became more convenient for hcr to belong elsewhere she united with the U. B. Church at this place and since then she has been a faithful member in devotion, service and contributing to the support of the church to which she belonged.

Arabelle was united in marriage to I.W. Jones of the same community March 12, 1885. They began life together on the farm and continued thus fo a number of years, after which they moved to Moravia, Iowa, her home at the time of her death. Three children were born to this union: Mr,. Elsie DuVall of Little Bear, WyomingBertha Ann, who died in childhood: and B.H. Jones of Moravia. She loved her home and family and did everything possible for the welfare of home and loved ones. No sacrifice was too great for her to make for the support, welfare and comfort of thase she loved as her own. She also thoght of others who were beyond her personal touch.

Aunt Belle had quite poor health for a number of years. A few weeks ago she and Uncle Willis were called to Wyoming to be in the home of their daughter for a little time, a vist which had been contemplated for some time. While there she was stricken with paralysis Sunday morning, Sept. 2nd, near 6 o'clock. Thus Aunt Belle lived her life here and elsewhere alweays confident of her abiding faith in God. Her suffering was of short duration because on September 6th, at 1:30 p.m., at the age of 66 years, ten months, and twenty-three days, her soul left this tabernacle of clay and moved into it's house, a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

She leaves to mourn their loss a husband; two children, Mrs Elsie DuVall of Little Bear, Wyoming; and B.h. Jones of Moravia; nine grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters, Lymon Main living on a farm southwest of Moravia, Mrs. Mary Hiner of Iconium, Charles Main, N J. Main, Mrs. Anuabelle Coulson, Milo Main and Lewia Main, all of Moravia, and Mrs. Fannie Harn of Upland, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the U.B. Church in Moravia on Sunday afternoon, Rev. D. W. Thompson officiating. Interment was made in the Moravia Cemetery.
