Joseph G. Nicksich, 87, born Oct. 4, 1917, passed away April 1, 2005. Joseph was the beloved husband of Donna Nicksich for 58 years. He is also survived by sister, Josephine Daly, Mesa, Ariz.; brother, John Nicksich, St. Louis, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Josephine Nicksich, Mildred Phillips, Betty Prince, Betty Ann Savage; brother-in-law, George (Joan) Savage; best friend, Milan Milich; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rose and Matt Nicksich; brothers, Tony and Mike Nicksich; sisters, Catherine Poplin and Rose Tibbet. Joe was a first sergeant in the U.S. Army and was a decorated veteran who served in the South Pacific in World War II. He received a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. The family will receive friends during viewing, 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass, 7 p.m. Monday, Christ the King Church. Private interment Tuesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo.
