Karl Victor Martin, Sr., retired owner of Martin Greater Film Graphics, died at his home of lung cancer on Friday, August 5, 2005 at the age of 72. Mr. Martin was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for 45 years where he was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and was an Airman 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War from 1952 until 1954. He is survived by his wife, Trudy C. Martin; 3 sons, Karl V. Martin, Jr., Joseph D. Martin and Steven M. Martin; 3 daughters, Carol J. Meyers, Gail D. Wells and Wendy K. Martin; 3 sisters, Kathleen Karcher , Rosemary Chaplain and Marilyn Wild; 1 brother, Lawrence L. Martin; 16 grandchildren, Matthew K. Pearson, Sarah E. Long, Shelby L. Meyers, Vinson H. Meyers, Anna L. Martin, Tonya M. Carollo, Brandi K. Cannon, Trudy C. Root, E.J. Wells, Joshua R. Wells, Jesse R. Wells, Emily R. Wells, Jonathan R. Wells, Mark A. Martin, Megan E. Martin and Jennifer L. Martin; 9 great-grandchildren, Braden K. Carollo, Rosemary M. Carollo, Jacob S. Carollo, Mason L. Martin, Mark K. Pearson, Andrew K. Pearson, McKenzie J. Meyers, Caden T. Martin and Tyler S. Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents Madeleine and Lawrence Martin; a brother, Donald Martin; and a grandson, Thomas E. Meyers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at SCHOEN FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL in COVINGTON, 1414 S. Tyler St., Covington on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mandeville City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Times-Picayune, August 7, 2005
