Nick Savage, 72, born July 4, 1930, passed away April 22, 2003. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Betty Ann Savage; son, Nick Robert Savage; sisters, Mildred Phillips and Donna (Joe) Nicksich; brother, George (Joan) Savage; sister, Betty Prince; brother, Bob (Kay) Savage; and mother-in-law, Helen Zupancic. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Gladys (Ed) Blatnick, Shirley (John) Aschenbrenner and Betty Savage; numerous nieces and nephews and his dogs, Heine and Boomer. Preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Rose Savage; brothers, Peter, Dan and Milan Savage; and sister, Dorothy Trani. Nick was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He owned Savage Floor Covering. He was an avid Raiders fan and spent his free time at Gus' Tavern with his many friends. Viewing, noon to 5 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends, 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Parastas, 7 p.m. Sunday, and funeral service, 10 a.m. Monday, both services at St. Michael's Orthodox Church. Entombment, Roselawn Mausoleum with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Donations may be made to St. Michael's Church in his memory.
