MARION T. MOTTERN

Marion T. "Red" Mottern, 69, of Hollentown R.D., Fallentimber, died Thursday Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. at his home.

Borth in Worthville on Aug. 15, 1916, he was the son of Marion Grover and Chrysse (Wonderling) Mottern.

Mr. Mottern married Dena R. Bernazzoli on June 25, 1951, in Altoona.

He was a retired coal miner from Cooney Brothers of Cresson and an army veteran of World War II, during which he was held as a prisoner of war for 27 months. He was a member of the Punxsutawney VFW and of the Worldwide Church of God, Huntingdon

Mr. Mottern is survived by his father and the following children: Denise Mack of Coalport, David A. of Altoona and Alonna A. at home. Also surviving are four grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Ruby Brocius, Max and Wayne, all of Erie.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, David.

Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Plass-McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, with the Rev. David Hammerle officating. Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.

Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
