Leading philosopher and social reformer. One of the principal exponents of late nineteenth and early twentieth century ‘Absolute Idealism’, Bosanquet was the leading British philosopher of his generation. His 20 books and some 150 papers are still in regular use in Europe and America. Bosanquet was also one of the earliest philosophers in the Anglo-American world to appreciate the work of Edmund Husserl, Benedetto Croce, Giovanni Gentile and Emile Durkheim.
