He was a Lt. in Cavalry in WWII. Veteran's flag is on his tombstone.

Stationed in Ireland for one year, Then went to Europe "D Day" plus 6. He and others got lost and for a while were with the French Resistance. Then they met up w/friends and were with General George Patton's Army in Germany. Then to Bastogne fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He was slightly wounded and received Purple Heart.
