Mrs. Westmoreland
Mrs. Noma Todd Westmoreland, 81, of 157 Nassau Place, died in a local nursing home Sunday afternoon, June 2, following an extended illness.
The daughter of the late William and Rebecca Herbert Todd, she was born Dec. 20, 1892, in Banks County, but had lived practically all of her life in Toccoa and Stephens County. Mrs. Westmoreland was a member of the Congregational Holiness Church of Toccoa.
Her husband, the late William Oscar Westmoreland, died June 13, 1966. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. William Thomas and Mrs. Geneva Means, both of Toccoa, and Mrs. Merle McCabe of Atlanta; five sons, Marvin Westmoreland of Toccoa, Zelman W. Westmoreland of Clarkston, T. A. Westmoreland of Duluth, Evander Westmoreland, of Santa Rosa Calif., and W. J. Westmoreland of Toccoa, 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Shirley and Rev. Henry Westmoreland officiating.
Pallbearers were Frankie Whitworth, Roy Westmoreland, Gene Westmoreland, Walton Fuller, David Leake and Bruce Westmoreland.
Interment was in Stephens Memorial Gardens with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
