MARION - Baxter K. Carbine, 55, brick manufacturing executive of Blue Brick, SC, died this morning about 4 o'clock after being injured in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Brothers Funeral Home in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Tisdale of Orangeburg. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Carbine is survived by his wife, the former Miss Lillian Lawrence of Marion; four daughters, Mrs. Laula Hutto of Blue Brick, Mrs. Mary Brooks of Fanwood, NJ, Mrs. Lillian Owens of Marion and Miss Marguerite Carbine of the home; his [step] mother, Mrs. Marguerite [Morgan] Carbine of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; three sisters, Mrs. Harriet Henderson of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Virginia Green of Los Angeles, Calif. and Miss Rachel Carbine of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, William Carbine of Talbotton, Ga. and Roy Carbine of Arlington, Va.; and 7 grandchildren.
