Barry Ray Simpson, age 48 of Grandview, died Thursday morning, October 27, 2011 at home. He was born May 19, 1963 In Kansas City, MO to Donald Ray and Betty Mae (McBay) Simpson. He was preceded in death by his sister Sissie Simpson and his step-father Wayne Simpson.

Barry lived in Grandview most of his life. He enjoyed antique tractors and fishing and had been employed as a house painter. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his mother Betty Simpson, his father Donnie (Leila) Simpson, brothers Mike (Jackie) Simpson and Tommy (Diana) Simpson, all of Grandview, sister Robin (Rick) Barcus of Jamestown, OH, nephew Mitchell Simpson of Grandview, nieces Holly Zimmerle of Grandview, Susan Barcus and Stacie Barcus of Jamestown, OH and his beloved friend, his dog Brody.

Funeral services for Barry will be Sunday at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City with Rev. Steve Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be next to his sister in the Spring City Cemetery.
