Daughter of Sarah Stone and Thomas Butler. Her maternal grandfather was the Reverend Samuel Stone, one of Hartford's first settlers.

She married Lieutenant Thomas Cadwell. They married September 23 1687.

Hannah was named in her husband's will which was made 30 December 1737, so she was living at that time, and at the time of his adding a codicil two years later. He died in 1739, but her year of death is unknown at this date.
