He was entered in the 1881, 1891, 1901, and 1911 census of Berlin, Waterloo County.

Jacob left this earth at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 12 days due to Heart Failure. Death Register #031596.

Jacob was buried in St. Peter's Cemetery with his 1st wife, Maria.
