NICKIE ROCCHIO SR.
Nickie Rocchio Sr. of 323 E. 2nd, Florence died at a local nursing home on Monday Oct. 3, 1988 at the age of 74. he was born June 3, 1914 in Williamsburg to Charles (sic) and Louis (sic) (Paglia) Rocchio.
Mr. Rocchio was a retired coal miner and also the owner/operator of the Annex Coal Mine south of Florence for over 50 years. He was a member of the BPOE 611, Florence.
He was married June 6, 1939 in Florence to Rose Angelica Yellico, who preceded him in death in 1965. He was also preceded in death by five brothers.
Mr. Rocchio is survived by two sons; two daughers, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandsons; Marge Hudnall, Florence; Ann Rocchio, Florence; Mary Stampfel, Florence; and a brother;, Charles Rocchio, Las Vegas, Nev.
Services Wednesday, Oct., 5, 11 a.ma. Florence Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. claude H. Sullivan officiating. Interment Union Highland Cemetery.
