Thanks for posting on Findagrave, but please try to get the information correct before posting! You have Lena Georgia Gowens McCallister parents listed as General Washington Gowens and RACHEL ANN NEEDHAM GOWENS (1863---1891)-----Lena was born in 1894---so Rachel is not her mother!!! Her mother would be FRANCES EMILY PHARISS GOWENS (11 Aug 1871---19 Mar 1942), second wife of G.W. Gowens, and Rachel's 1st cousin. they married in Coleman, TX 18 Feb. 1892! Lena was the 2nd child of the 2nd marriage.

G.W. Gowens and Rachel Ann Needham only had 3 daughters---Artie Missia (1881), Mary Fynetta (1884), and Charity Evelyn (1887) before she died from flu complications after 11 years of marriage.

I am Artie's grandson! I know you are busy from reading your bio, but please, please correct this as soon as possible to set the record straight for those working on their family history. Mistakes like this get copied and passed on many times.
