Mrs. Ruth Ellen McFie
Services for Mrs. Ruth Ellen McFie, a native of Colorado Springs, were held Thursday in the Florence Mortuary with the Rev. James Offrick officiating.
Burial was in Union Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. McFie , who had lived in Florence, died Monday in Tempe, Ariz.
She was born her on Feb. 11, 1893. She also had lived in Walsenburg for 41 years, then moved to Florence and had lived in Tempe for the past five years.
She was a Presbyterian, belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 25, in Florence, and the Daughters of the American Revolution in Walsenburg.
She was married to James McFie who died in 1970. She is survived by three daughters, Ruth Smithberg, Henderson, Ky., Nancy Rutherford, LaGrandes, Ore., and Ann Sammons, Phoenix, Ariz., nine grandchildren, and two sisters, Irma McCandless of Florence and Alice England of Denver.
