Aaron came west from West Virginia shortly after 1880 with his wife Maude and his three daughters. On the way they had a son born in Nebraska. They arrived in the Pueblo Colorado area about 1890.
The family settled in the small town of Florence, near the gold and silver mining towns of Cripple Creek and Victor. He was a farmer but was also engaged as a teamster with his son-in-law Joseph Fitzpatrick. Together they hauled supplies and worked on the construction of smelters and ore hauling.
Aaron died of Diabetes, just four days before his fiftieth birthday. He is buried in an unmarked grave and under the name of "Andrew" by mistake.

I have always wondered what the C. stood for in Aaron's name. His mother was Rachel Evans and there is the name "Cadwallader" as a first name several times in her family. I don't know but it is possible this could be his middle name and one can understand he may not care for that name. He ususally went by "A. C."
