St. Cloud Times, Sat. Feb. 20, 1965, p. 6. Mrs. John J. Rieder (Susan), 81, 616 Ninth avenue south, died Friday night. She was born Mar. 28, 1883, in St. Joseph MN and in 1902 married John J. Rieder. They had lived in St. Cloud for the past 63 years. Mrs. Rieder is survived by her husband and 12 children; Norbert, Edward, Walter, Lawrence, Jack, Mrs. Peter Landowski (Kathleen), and Mrs. Norbert (Alma) Rau, St. Cloud; Mrs. Joseph Wartman (Margaret), Eden Valley MN; (living); (living), (living), and (living). One son, Harold, preceded her in death. There are 30 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was a past president of the St. Margaret society and a member of the Christian Mothers society. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Cathedral with burial in Assumption cemetery. Friends may call at the Williams funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday until time of services.
