Victor H. Laake, 98, formerly from Columbus, Texas passed away on October 27, 2011 in Webster, Texas.
He was born on November 8, 1912 to Alex Anton Laake, Sr. and Louisa Ladewig Laake in Taylor, Texas. Victor was retired and had worked for Armco Steel. On March 28, 1934, he married Lydia Lobpries whom preceded him in death on February 4, 2006.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus.
Victor is survived by two daughters, Patricia Jean Younger of Houston, TX and Beverly Ann O'Brien of Webster, TX; grandchildren, Michael Jobe and Richard Victor O'Brien; great grandchildren, Michael Jobe, Jr., Mitchell O'Brien, and John T. O'Brien; several brothers, half-brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife Lydia Laake, and son Victor Henry Laake, Jr..
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011, 10:30 AM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas with Rev. Jeffrey Marsh officiating.
Burial in Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Texas.
