Archie Stout, 70, of 153 Owen St. died January 25, 1996, at his residence.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Cribb and the Rev. James W. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Whynot Cemetery in Seagrove with military graveside rites.

Born in Star, he was an electrician, a member of the Woodmen of The World Camp 921 in Asheboro and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include sisters, Kathleen Tucker of Grifton, Martha Alexander of Hopewell, Va. and Ruth Burgess of Asheboro; brothers, Carl Stout of Asheboro, Cecil Stout of Falls Church, Va., Neil Stout and Hal Stout both of Wilmington and George Stout of El Paso, Texas; and 27 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Phillips Funeral Home in Star and other times at the residence of his sister, Ruth Burgess, 939 Trollinger Road, Asheboro.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
