Oliver W. Wilkins, 78, of St. Charles died Oct. 14, 2007, at home. He was born Oct. 10, 1929, to J. Earl and Emma M. (Thoele) Wilkins in St. Charles.
Mr. Wilkins was a letter carrier who worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years. He served in the Army and was a member of the retired letter carriers and the St. Charles Poker Club.
He is survived by one stepson, Doug Jones of St. Charles; one sister, Mabel Salfen of Bridgeton; and one step-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol J. (Buschmeyer) Wilkins; his parents; four brothers, James, Bob R., F. Emmett, and Howard H.; and one sister, Mary A. Hickman.
