Alice R. Rooney, 77, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Steuben passed away Friday, November 16, 2001 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 10, 1924 in Volney, Iowa to Albert and Minnie (Winters) Gilson. She married Francis Rooney on December 28, 1946 in Decorah Iowa. Together they farmed in the Steuben area for many years. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1988.
Alice is survived by four sons and one daughter, 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a son-in-law and a brother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Karen, her parents and three sisters.
