He was the husband of Virginia (Huntington) Loeffel. They were married August 15, 1969 in Clayton, Missouri. And the father of Bobby Loeffel, Charles Loeffel, Mary Ann Loeffel, Linda (Loeffel)Campbell, Johnny Loeffel, Esther Loeffel & Walter Loeffel all from his first marriage. And he was also the father of Sharon (Loeffel) McCann & Robin(Loeffel) Byse through Virginia (Huntington) Loeffel. He was the step father of Butch, David & Mark Meyers. The grandfather of Staci & Jason McCann, Robbie, Julie & Carrie Loeffel, Johnboy Loeffel, Sandy Harris & Mary Ann Loeffel, Laura Pruett, Katherine Ford, Steve Campbell & Jenny Taylor. He recieved 3 Bronze Service Stars for Campaigns in Normandy, Rhineland and Central Europe in 1945. He also recieved a Purple Heart in May 1945. He also recieved a Good Conduct Medal on Feb. 12, 1945. He was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge on July 22, 1944.
