XAlma "Lucy" Stewart passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at her residence.
Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at Guardian Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Point Nazarene Church Building Fund, 3527 Jim Wright Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76106.
Lucy was born Oct. 29, 1928, in Gatesville to Jessie and Lillian Hale. She moved to Fort Worth in 1950. She was a member of Cross Point Nazarene. She was always ready to help at church functions and always looked forward to being with her friends at the White Settlement Senior Citizens Center. There she made dolls and ceramics, winning many awards for her achievements. She was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ervin "Pee-Wee" Barker and Ray Wilborn; son, James Barker; a brother; and a sister.
The family would like to thank her many friends for being there for Lucy and for all of the love and support shown to the family. It will never be forgotten.
Survivors: Daughter, Margi Young of Mansfield; a brother, Joe Hale; stepgrandchildren, Sondee Jackson and Michael Ray Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
