Mrs. Dumler, 66, Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Mike Dumler, 66, 1417 Elm St., died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Russell Hospital, about three hours after she was taken there from her home by ambulance. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Deines Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. H. Vorrath officiating. Interment was in Russell Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Mike, of the home; three sons, Everett M. Sheldon, McPherson, Clyde M. Sheldon, Sidney, Neb., and Dale W. Sheldon, Casper, Wyo.; a daughter, Mrs. Ervin (Mable) DeWald, 1107 Elm St., Russell, and five step children, Mrs. Bertha Wagner, Wakeeney, Lee Dumler, McCook, Neb.; mrs. John Voos, Russell; Vernon Dumler, Salina; and Mrs. Cleo Quigley, Kansas City, Kan. In addition, she is survived by three brothers, Ralph Pollock, Utica, Neb., James Pollock, Nampa, Ida., and Lee Pollock, Snoqualmic, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Amanda Shores, Tamara, Neb.
The former Iva Pollock was born March 24, 1897, in Beaver Crossing, Neb. She was married Dec. 22, 1914 to Everett M. Sheldon. The family moved to Russell in 1935. Mr. Sheldon died Aug. 1, 1943. In October 1950 (sic), she married Mr. Dumler, who survives her.

Iva Murill, daughter of Archer and Lucy (Dermer) Pollock, was born March 24, 1897, at Beaver Crossing, Nebraska. She departed this life on August 22, 1963 at the Russell City Hospital. Her age was 66 years, 4 months and 28 days.
On December 22, 1914, she was united in marriage to Everett M. Sheldon at Wellington, KS. There were 4 children born to this marriage, all of whom survive her. In 1935 she came with her family to Russell and was a resident of this community until her death. Her husband preceded her in death in 1943. On November 6, 1960, she remarried to Michael Dumler, also of Russell. They established their home at 1417 Elm St. and with her duties as housewife she also helped her husband in his work as caretaker of the Russell Cemetery, until their retirement. Mrs. Dumler was a faithful and devoted companion and helpmate. Although in failing health herself for the past year, she nevertheless ministered and cared for him until she was stricken early Tuesday morning and had to be taken to the hospital.
To mourn her passing and to remember and treasure her acts and deeds of love and devotion are: her ailing husband of the home, her four children; Everett M. of McPherson, Kans., Clyde M. of Sidney, Nebraska, and Dale W. Sheldon, Casper, Wyoming; a daughter, Mrs. Mabel (Ervin) DeWald, of Russell, KS, 5 step children: Mrs. John (Ophelia) Voos, Russell, Mrs. Geo (Bertha) Wagner, Wakeeney, Kans., Lee Dumler, McCook, Nebr., Vernon Dumler, Salina, KS, and Mrs. Cleo Quinley, KS City, KS. Also 3 brothers: Ralph Pollock of Utica, Nebr., James Pollock, of Namps, Idaho, Lee Pollock, Snoqualmle, Washington, one sister, Mrs. Amanda Shores, Tamar, Nebr., 6 grand children, 11 step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
