Allan W. May, 78, of Spring Grove, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in Woodstock.He was born April 6, 1930, in Spring Grove. He was a lifelong resident of Spring Grove.He was a veteran, serving in Korea.Survivors include his wife, Joan May (Goebel); his daughters, Mary (Terry) Mathews and Janet (Wayne) Lane; his grandchildren, Thomas Mathews, Angela Conover, Kristian Mathews and Catherine Mathews; two great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Estelle (the late Steve) Schmitt, Shirley (the late John) Sanders, Bernie (Darlene) May and Joan (John) Popelka.He was preceded in death by his sister, Arlene May.The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Spring Grove Funeral Chapel, 8103 Wilmot Road, (1 mile north of Route 12), Spring Grove. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, with a 10 a.m. Mass celebration at St. Peter Church, 2118 Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery
