Mary, daughter of John and Julia (Carroll) Kennedy, was born December 15, 1928 in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
Mary Attended St. Anthony's Grade School, Cedar Rapids, Nebraska and graduated from Cedar Rapids (NE.) High School in 1946. After graduation she taught country school for three years.
On August 29, 1949, Maxine was united in marriage to Lester D. Robinson at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
They farmed and raised their three children on the Robinson family farm southwest of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
After Lester died in 1986, Maxine moved to Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
Maxine loved farm life, playing cards, bowling and spending time with family.
She was a lifetime member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Edward, Nebraska and Altar Society.
Maxine is survived by: children, Mary Kay (Roger) Beckman of Petersburg, Nebraska, Peg (Steve) Swerczek and Bill (Rita) Robinson, all of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jan (Scott) Aversman, Kim Beckman, Jerry (Katie) Beckman, Brian (Shelli) Swerczek, Ken (Megan) Meier, Lara (Shawn) Novacek, Scott (Christy) Meier, Mark Swerczek, Ryan Robinson and Erica Robinson; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Caleb and Wyatt Aversman, Riley and Lane Swerczek, Devin, Macy and Rylan Meier, Bennett Novacek; Max and Jack Meier; siblings, Lucille Ruma, Jeanne Lutz, Bud (Bernita) Kennedy, Carroll (Jeanine) Kennedy and Joan (Dick) Batenhorst and a host of family and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Lester Robinson; grandchildren Sarah Meier and Bob Beckman; "special" sister, Jerry Kennedy; siblings, Leonard, Arnold and Donald (Veronica) Kennedy; siblings-in-law, Marjorie (Maurice) Cox, Orville (Georgia) Robinson, Sam Ruma and Charles Lutz.
Burial was in St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Nebraska.
