Viola Harp
Viola Harp, 80, of Porter, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, January 11, 1998 in a Coweta, OK nursing home.
Mrs. Harp was born on September 23, 1917 in Short, Oklahoma to Oscar E. and Mary Elizabeth (Anderson) Fain. She was married to Edgar Harp in 1942. Mr. Harp preceded her in death on July 17, 1988. Viola was a homemaker, but did work for the Funsten Nut Company for a period of ten years before her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Porter.
Mrs. Harp is survived by one daughter, Colleen Howell, of Porter; two sons, Gary E. Harp and David W. Harp both of Porter; one sister, Thula Sweeney, of Muskogee; four grandchildren, Cheryl Vansay and Dustin Harp, both of Muskogee, Cybil Howell and Drew Bryson, both of Porter.
Services for Mrs. Harp will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 1998 at 1:00 P.M. in the Hrandley Belltower Chapel in Muskogee with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Don W. Cole, Tim Galther, H. V. Robers, Bill Surlen, Jim Gaither, and P. J. Smith will serve as casket bearers. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee.
The family has entrusted the Bradley Funeral Service with the arrangements.
