Williams mother and father died when he was about 11 yrs old in Llano,Tx where he was born. William was 22 yrs old and a granite worker in Austin when married Alene Mints in Austin 4 June 1916. He went to work for the gas company as a pipe fitter. William and Alene had six children. William died of a heart attack in Kingsland Tx at 80 yrs old.
