Bill McElhoe, 67, Shelbina, Mo., formerly of Plevna,died Friday, September 19, 2003, at Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal, Mo. Born September 2, 1936, in Monroe County, Mo., the son of Estel O. and Naomia V. Perrigo McElhoe. He married Delores Fohey, April 15, 1959, at Paris, Mo. He later married Emma Claus, August 2, 1980. Mr. McElhoe graduated from Shelbina High School in 1955. He owned and operated Mac's Used Furniture and Antiques, in Quincy and LaGrange, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and reading. He was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his mother; five children, Becky Karle and husband, Richard, and Barbara Howe and husband, Rodney, all of Warsaw, Ill., David McElhoe, Hannibal, Mo., Don McElhoe and wife, Robin, Donnellson, Ia., and Bob McElhoe, Shelbyville, three stepchildren, J. C. Claus and wife, Laura, and Dena Aldridge and husband, Billy, all of Clarence, and Curtis Claus, Shelbyville. Also surviving are two brothers, Jerry McElhoe, Quincy, and Danny McElhoe, Shelbina; and one sister, Sue Baker, also of Shelbina; seven grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and one step-great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Bonnie Renner. Visitation was held September 21, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel, Shelbina.
