JAMISON, John W. (''Johnnie''), 80, of Hollins, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 1997 in a Roanoke hospital. He was a retired dairy farmer and farm manager and also retired from Dominion Bank. Mr. Jamison was a charter member of the Hollins Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, County #5, with 26 years service, was a charter member and past president of the Hollins Lions Club and was a charter member and the first president of the Roanoke County Farm Bureau. He was a long time member of the Patterson Memorial Grace Brethren Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Carter Jamison; five sisters, Mrs. Annie J. Montgomery, Wirtz, Mrs. Carl H. (Rosa) Beckner and Mrs. Bessie J. Bower, both of Roanoke, Mrs. Ezra W. (Mary) Rutrough, Rocky Mount; Mrs. Edward J. (Blanch) Mason, Hollins; a brother, Joseph E. (Joe) Jamison, Roanoke; and a number of niece and nephews. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
