Delvin Delano Grants"s journey began on July 30, 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the third child born to Jessie Phillips Grant and Oscar Grant. Shortly after his joyful arrival, his parents relocated to Los Angeles, California
Affectionately know to everyone as Bigdaddy, he attended 74th Street Elementary School, Horace Mann Junior High School, Gorge School in Arvin, California. He had a promising football career as a running back for team he played for, en enjoyed all elements of sports and anything associated with them. He was a dedicated Lakers fan. After graduating from Arvin High School Bigdaddy attend Edward Norton University in Washington and then went on to Mt. San Antonio Collage in Walnut, California.
Bigdaddy was an avid reader and loved a good book or movie. He was known for having a sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. He was family orientated and loved every one in his family and let it be know. Bigdaddy was a hard worker, and worked for many law firms in Los Angeles. His last place of employment was with the Gingham McCutchen Law Firm.

Bigdaddy's journey came to an end on May 21, 2011. He leaves to cherish his memories: Father Oscar Grant, Sister and Brothers Cansondra Grant, Alisa Grant-Carter, Ives Grant, Ian Grant Pasha Grant, Misha, Erick, Gibby and Dio Grant. Nieces and Nephews, Le'Ane Marie McKenzie, Janal Carter and Christopher Carter. Grand Nieces and a host of relatives and friends. Delvin was preceded in passing in May, 2010 by his mother, Jessie Grant.
