Hannah (written as Ann at baptism by Matthew Grant) Griswold was baptized June 19, 1642 at Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut to Edward and Margaret (----) Griswold. She married Jonas Westover November 19, 1663 at Windsor and their children were: Jonas Jr., Margaret, Hannah, Elizabeth, Jane, Mary, Jonathan and Joanna. She died May 3, 1714 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut, "aged" seventy-two. She's most likely buried in Simsbury.
Her will was dated August 1, 1713:
• In the name of God Amen, I Hannah Westover, of Symsbury, in the county of Hartford, and Colony of Connecticut, relict of Jonah Westover, of the town county and Colony aforsd, decd, being weak and sick in body, yet of sound mind and judgment and of perfect memory, do dispose of what I have: First of all and principally, I give and bequeath my soul to God that gave it, and my body to Christian burial and touching my worldly goods, I give in manner following: First, I give and bequeath to my six daughters, 40 shillings to each daughter, and the remainder if any be, to be equally divided to my daughter Hannah Alverd and my daughter Mary Case, Jane Byington and Johanna. Second: to Jonah my stack of rye. Third: I give also to my daughter Johanna my biggest pig, and the smaller pig I give to my son Jonathan. This being my will and testament I set my hand this first day of August, 1713. Hannah Westover.
