"Jeffrey Vaughn Wilkerson died today, October, 26, 2011, at his home. A celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Trinity Fellowship Church, Brookfield. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.
Jeff was the son of Vaughn and Martha Thomas Wilkerson, born January 6, 1961, in Brookfield. On June 20, 1980, he married Vicki Bennett. Jeff was a 1979 graduate of Brookfield R-lll High School in Brookfield. He was a co-owner of Wilkerson Building and Maintenance in Brookfield.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Brookfield and gave his life to the Lord in February of 2000. He was a member of the Soul Mates Sunday School Class and the Tuesday Night Bible study. He had served on the Brookfield Rlll School Board. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman, a proud supporter of Brookfield Athletics, and enjoyed his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki of the home; two daughters, Vanessa Lincoln (Matt) and and Savannah Phillips (Rusty), Rusty all of Brookfield; one son, Kyle Wilkerson (Abby) of Brookfield; four grandchildren; his mother, Martha Wilkerson of Brookfield; one brother, Mark Wilkerson (Kim) of Laclede; his father in law, Jerry Bennett of Browning; a sister-in-law, Debbie Murphy (Mark) of Columbia; and a brother-in-law, Rick Bennett (Terri) of Browning.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vaughn Wilkerson; his mother-in-law, Barbara Bennett; and a niece, Chasity Marie Bennett."
