Marian A. Haelfrisch, 82, 232 Mill Street, Reedsville, died Monday morning, Oct. 24, 2011, at Unity Hospice in De Pere.

Marian was born on April 9, 1929, in Whitelaw, daughter of the late Andrew and Loretta Schambureck Ebert. She was a graduate of St. Michael Grade School in Whitelaw. On Aug. 16, 1947, Marian was married to Frederick "Fritz" Haelfrisch at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. Fritz preceded Marian in death on April 25, 1996. Fritz and Marian farmed in the town of Rockland and Marian also worked in the past for the Brillion Iron Works and Reedsville School District. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion, Reedsville Lioness Club and the Friends of St. Patrick. Marian enjoyed bingo, playing sheephead, watching birds outside of her window and was known for being a wonderful baker.

Survivors include her six children, Sandra (Gary) Luedtke, Greenleaf; Debbie (Tim) Nate, Reedsville; Rosemary (Larry) Zutz, Reedsville; Jim (Paula) Haelfrisch, Reedsville; Tom (Chris) Haelfrisch, Brillion; Larry (Monica) Haelfrisch, Reedsville; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Jeanette (John) Sheahan, Cato; Germaine Biely, Manitowoc; Loretta (Hank) Sheahan, Maple Grove; Ann Marie Kasianowicz, St. Francis; Patty (Jim) Reindl, Manitowoc; five sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ebert, Manitowoc; Betty Ebert, Manitowoc; Diane Ebert, Cato; Eleanor Haelfrisch, Mishicot; Iva Haelfrisch, Brillion. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Haelfrisch; her parents, Andrew and Loretta Ebert; three brothers, Jerome Ebert, Kenneth Ebert, Andrew Ebert; two sisters, Clara Ebert and Genrose Bartels; three brothers-in-law, Charles Biely, Donald Bartels, Ken Kasianowicz; also other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law preceded Marian in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Timothy Brandt will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Reedville.
