Patricia B Cramer, 80, of Butler passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.
Born June 19, 1928, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Charlotte (Reott) Bennis.
She was a 1945 graduate of Butler High School and worked as a secretary at various companies in Butler. After her retirement, she volunteered at a number of organizations, including St. Vincent DePaul and Gospa Missions.
Patricia was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she was involved with the RCIA program and was a Eucharistic minister.
She enjoyed playing bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs in the Butler area.
She was known for her sharp wit and her gift of humor; and she wrote absurd and humorous poems for her grandson, Nicholas.
It was a true measure of her character that she had so many friends in her life, precisely because she was a true friend.
Surviving are her daughters, Connie Ordy of Ellwood City and Barbara Baum of Butler; three grandchildren, Nicholas, who she helped raise, Aaron and Jennifer; a sister, JoAnn Tomasovic of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Robert J. Cramer, who she married, May 6, 1950, died July 6, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Andre.
At the request of Patricia B. Cramer, who died Saturday, September 27, 2008, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Interment will follow in the St. Peter Cemetery, Butler.
The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at the church to recite the rosary.
To honor Pat's memory, her family asks that you say a prayer for someone who has no one to pray for them.
