OBITUARY

Mary Margaret Hayes was born in London, England, Oct. 1, 1847. In 1850 her parents started for America, which resulted in the sad experience of her mother dying on the vessel and was buried at sea.

Her father came to New York where he resided till 1851 when he moved to Chicago at which place he was drowned.

The daughter having grown to womanhood, on Aug. 28, 1866 was married to John Wesley Frazier. In 1870 they moved to California, Mo. Where they lived until 1886, at which time they moved to Randolph county, Mo. And in 1912 they came to Clarence.

Mrs. Frazer is survived by six children as follows. Albert Frazer of Ely. Mo., Mrs. A. D. Benson, Sidney, Iowa, Mrs. C. W. Lilly, Leesburg, Mo., Charles L. Frazer, St. Joseph, Mo., Guy Frazer, Ottumwa, Iowa and Edward Frazer, Garden City, Mo. She also leaves 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In 1882 Mrs. Frazer was converted and became a true follower of the Lord Jesus. Her life since her conversion has characterized by intense religious activity and she was especially committed to the work of caring for the sick among her friends and neighbors.

She passed away at the home of her daughter near Leesburg and the remains were brought to her home in Clarence, and funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church Monday afternoon Sept. 29, by the pastor of the church Rev. W. N. Giddens, and the remains laid to rest in the Maple Wood Cemetery.
