Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon for Mary Elizabeth Hotchkiss,95, Walnut Creek, Calif., formerly of Lyndon, who died Sept. 25, 1999, at a care center in Walnut Creek.

She was born July 8, 1904, in the Black Jack community east of Baldwin in Douglas County, to Blair and Ida Bell Van Treis. She taught in Topeka schools for six years. She lived in Lyndon for more than 40 years and in Contra Costa County, Calif., the past 16 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lyndon and United Methodist Women.

She married Alex Hotchkiss in 1933 in Topeka. He was a judge many years. He died May 9, 1973.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Hotchkiss, Daly City, Calif.; and a grandson. Mrs. Hotchkiss was cremated. Inurnment will be in Lyndon Cemetery.
