Dixie Sharp, 69, of Clementsville, Ky., passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, in Clementsville.

She was born in Clementsville and lived in Franklin for 23 years. She moved back to her childhood home in Clementsville in 1988.

She was an active member of St. Bernard Church in Clementsville and previously was an active member and volunteer at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin. Her church families were important to Dixie.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gerald Sharp of Clementsville; two daughters, Pam (Sharp) Barnard of Franklin and Debra (Sharp) Grunden of Indianapolis; and four devoted grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Barnard, and Josh and Matthew Coffman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cash Clements and Bernardine Clements; three brothers; and three sisters.

A funeral Mass was conducted at St. Bernard Church in Clementsville. Burial was at St. Bernard Cemetery.

Dixie Clements Sharp, passed away Saturday October 22, 2011 at Casey County Hospital. She was 69. Born in Casey County, KY on Friday October 9, 1942, she is the daughter of the late Cash and Bernardine Wethington Clements. She was a former employee of International Packing Company of Indiana and devoted member and volunteer worker at the St. Bernard Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers,William "Bill Cash" , Allen Thomas and Robert R. Clements and three sisters, Dorothy Harper, Donna Deane Wethington, and Mary Jo Gribbins. Survivors include her husband, Gerald Sharp of Liberty; two daughters, Pam Barnard of Franklin, Indiana and Debra Grunden of Indianapolis, Indiana and four grandchildren, Josh and Matthew Coffman and Sarah and Emily Barnard. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 25, 2011 at St Bernard Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Hall officiating. Burial is at the St Bernard Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Prayers at 8:00 p.m.. Arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
