Ralph Neils Orgill, 85, passed away on October 22, 2011.

Ralph was born January 5, 1926 in West Jordan, Utah to Edward James and Edith Susannah Swenson Orgill. He grew up on a farm with seven siblings and graduated from Jordan High School in 1944.

He served in the U.S. Navy and attended the University of New Mexico, where he studied accounting.

He married his sweetheart Pearl Blair in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 9, 1946 and they were together fifty-six years until her passing on June 16, 2002.

Ralph enjoyed a long career with Kennecott's Nevada Mines Division, where he eventually became Division Comptroller and VP/Superintendent of Reclamation for Nevada operations.

Ralph is survived by his sister Edith Gotberg of West Jordan, son Dana Edward (Alicia) of Gardnerville, Nevada, and daughter Shelley of Salt Lake City, as well as two granddaughters, Megan (Scott) Brimhall and Shannon (Josh) Ludvigson, and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his eternal love Pearl, he was preceded in death by son Gordon J. Orgill, as well as sisters Fae Naylor, Ann Johnson, Eudora DeCisto, Madelin Laveder, and Mary Ponce and brother James Orgill.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the excellent staff and care providers at Canyon Creek Assisted Living and St. Mark's Hospital for their attention to and concern for our father/grandfather; and to his Symbii nurses, in particular to Becky and Brad for their love.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the Mountain View Memorial Estates Chapel, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior to the memorial service.
