Requiem Mass For Clarence Huffer
His morning at St. Jude's Catholic church, requiem mass was celebrated for Clarence A. Huffer, who had worked as a farm hand in the Havre area recently.
Mr. Huffer, who was born in St. Cloud, Minn., Jan. 13, 1896, died in a Havre hospital on Dec. 21, at the age of 58. He had been employed here as a farm hand by Fred Dion.
He served as a private in the U.S. Army in World War I, entering the service at Princeton, Minn., on May 4, 1918, and receiving his discharge June 6, 1919. He was attached to Co. F of the 350th Infantry.
Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Steeves, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Alice Barnek, Bay River, Minn.
Pallbearers at this morning's service were Fred Dion, George McMillan, Dick McMillan, Bob Compton, Dick Maynard and Joe Fourage. Interment was made in Calvary cemetery.
