BESSIE CRONE BOMAN, born in 1913 in Mineola, TX died at age 98 after a courageous battle with heart disease. Up to the last day she was still telling her daughter, sons and grandchildren she loved them. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband Julius Boman, her parents Bill & Sally Crone and her two brothers and a sister.
Bessie & Julius moved to Houston in the late 30's with Julius working for many years at Hughes Tool. After Julius' death, Bessie started working at Anchor Hocking Glass Co & worked until she retired at age 75. She remained living in Houston until 2004 when she moved to La Porte to be close to her daughter and favorite son-in-law.
Bessie is survived by her daughter Mary Nell Duncan & husband Jack, sons Dale Boman & wife Kathy and Wayne (Bubba) Boman. Also survived by her are her grandchildren Craig Duncan, Troy Duncan, Cheri Slaughter, Kristie Edwards, Bethany McGill, Kathleen Moreno and 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland on Thursday, October 27th from 4 PM - 7 PM and funeral services will also be at SouthPark on Friday, October 28th at 12:30 P.M in the chapel. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.southparkfunerals.com.
