Patrick Vail died yesterday morning at his home in South Glastonbury after a short illness. He was a Civil War veteran, having served three years in the Thirteenth Connecticut Regiment.
He leaves four sons, P. J. Vail of South Glastonbury, Edward Vail of Wapping, John Vail of Melrose and James Vail of Maine; two daughters, Mrs. Trudeau of West Hartford and Mrs. O'Brien of South Glastonbury; three brothers, Maurice Vail of Little Falls, N.Y., Michael Vail of South Glastonbury and Bartholomew Vail of Manchester; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Dooley of New Bedford, Mass., and Mrs. Robinson of Rockville.
The funeral will be held at his home tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock, with a requiem high mass at St. Augustine's Church at 9:30 o'clock. The burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, South Glastonbury.
