Samuel T. Forman Dead
Samuel T. Forman, a prominent and respected farmer living northwest of this city, died last Saturday night, Dec. 13, at 10 o'clock. Mr. Forman had been in poor health for some time, suffering with stomach trouble.
Deceased was born in Shelby county , near his late home, May 18 [sic], 1844, and had always resided in that neighborhood. He was married to Miss Amanda C. Baker 48 years ago last Sunday, who together with nine children, survive him. The children are Mrs. Ella Duncan, Mrs. Irene Perrigo, Mrs. Josie VanZant, Mrs. Maggie Glahn, Joe, Walter L., Ellis and Henry Forman of Shelby county, and Arthur Forman of the State of Arizona. Other near relatives are one brother, U. G. Forman and five sisters, Misses Emma Kate and Della Forman, Mrs. Ida Sweeney, and Mrs. Mary Lear.
Mr. Forman was successful in his business affairs, was a good christian man and was held in high esteem by everyone. Many friends will join the Herald in extending sincere sympathy to the sorrowing family.
The funeral services were held at the family residence yesterday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by Rev. J. M. O'Bryen, assisted by Rev. G. W. Humphrey. Interment in Bethany cemetery.
